1.Liability & Insurance

1.1.All the activities we run have an element of assumed risk. Participants should be aware of and willing to accept the inherent risk of accidents & injury involved. They should be prepared to assume personal responsibility for their own actions and involvement.

1.2.Lakeoftheheart is not under any liability whatsoever in respect of any personal injury or death, nor loss of or damage to personal property unless caused by proven negligence or default on their part or that of their suppliers or agents whilst attending the course.

1.3.In the circumstances of cancellation of the event by the Lakeoftheheart, any liability shall be limited to the original fees paid. No liability whatsoever is accepted for consequential losses resulting from such a cancellation.

1.4.Lakeoftheheart is insured for public liability cover for the course & all coaches working on it. 

1.5.No insurance cover is included for participants. You are strongly advised to ensure you have your own suitable insurance cover in place.


2.Health & Safety Considerations

2.1. Lakeoftheheart reserves the right to modify or cancel advertised courses due to safety considerations or other factors beyond our control.

2.2.To help us to help you, we ask that you disclose any relevant information relating to your health or capabilities on the booking form. All information supplied will be treated sensitively & in strict confidence. This enables us to fully brief coaches & allows them to make informed decisions when including you.

2.3.Participants are expected to have a realistic level of fitness to participate in their chosen course.

2.4. Under-18’s may attend but must be actually accompanied by a parent on any course. (Sorry, but supervision by another responsible adult is not acceptable).


3.Bookings & Payment

3.1.A booking form must be completed & signed by all participants. 

3.2.Where a participant is under 18 years of age, it should be signed & acknowledged by a parent/guardian on their behalf.

3.3.Bookings can only be made by sending a cheque by post.

3.4.A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total fee is required at the time of booking.

3.5.The final balance should be paid two week prior to the course.


4.Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation By The Participant

4.1.All cancellations must be made in writing & acknowledged (e-mail is acceptable).

4.2.For cancellations made up to 4 weeks before the start date only the deposit is forfeit. The balance will be refunded.

4.3.For cancellations less than 2 weeks before the start date or during the course then the full course fee is forfeit unless the places or time can be resold.


Cancellation By Lakeoftheheart

4.4.In the extremely unlikely event of a cancellation by Lakeoftheheart, participants will be notified by telephone & then in writing or by e-mail as soon as practicable.


5.Data Protection & Confidentiality

5.1.All personal information provided by participants will be treated sensitively & in strict confidence.

5.2.Any information retained following will be kept securely & not divulged to third parties.
